Cruiseline Division

To understand the Cruise Industry one must first understand the rigors of a dry dock.  In a very short window of time, a vessel is completely transformed with renovations or built from scratch.  At the Bourne Group, we feel that a successful dry dock stems from the timely customer service provided to the client (owner) by the vendor or contractor.  This service begins by honoring the deadlines set forth by the client.  But our commitment reaches further. We offer a global service, providing installers and support to all parts of the world in order to complete the job.

In addition, an understanding of the harsh elements signage is exposed to onboard a vessel we feel is vital to the life of a sign.  Generic signage will not last onboard.  Signage must be crafted using materials and substrates that are designed to last.

Recurring Problem:

In general, spaces and venues on a cruise-liner can have a short lifespan. Whether it is the rebranding of a venue or a renovation to increase cabins a lot of resources can be spent to replace way-finding signage.

Solution:

Way-finding must be designed and manufactured to be cost effective but quality and a unique design should not be sacrificed because of this.  We feel the design should always enable the client to replace just the way-finding portion and not the entire structure.  This way-finding portion if protected by the structure can be made of a very cost effective substrate while giving the appearance and durability our clients expect.  The structure should be designed to a higher quality, by using extremely durable materials to ensure that it will be there for the life of the vessel and will enhance the overall perception of the sign.
