Our Facility
Manufacturing and Distribution at "Old Charleston Navy Base"
“When the Bourne Group needed to expand our manufacturing and distribution facility in Charleston, SC, we desired to strike a balance of an inspiring yet comfortable work atmosphere with an efficient use of space. A space that favored the well being of our workforce and added value to our service.”
In its new location, in the heart of the Old Naval Base, the Bourne Group has now grown to 5,000 sqft of warehouse, office and manufacturing space. A major factor in the decision to move into the Old Navy Base was to make sure the Bourne Group was not only tied to the local maritime community but also that it be an active participant in the restoration of the Navy Shipyard, what was once a very prosperous area of North Charleston. The navy base was vacated in the wave of military downsizing in the mid-1990s. This closure, in turn, helped launch several economic restoration projects by offering a large expanse of empty warehouses and undeveloped land in the center of South Carolina’s fastest growing urban area.
